How Kurti are you?

Hello Fashion world!

First, duly a million apologies for having disappeared the ramp of catwalk for a while. Unbelievably my girls keep more busy than the amount of energy created in me all day. Needless to say that among changing diapers,  being splattered in baby food and taking trips to school, I have had absolutely no time to update my fashion thoughts daily. But now that I'm in control of my my motherhood (I think), I am well back to the two things I love most, fashion and writing.

And back at perfect time too, just as the lawn season is back with a bang this year. Though not as explosively as expected from previous years. What with the kurtis taking off the summer heat with soft malai lawns in attractive colours, since last year. Thou they started off pretty simple with button pattis and sherwani collars, they have evolved quite fashionably over the months. Here are couple of pictures i could grab off the internet to give some ideas to all those perplexed fashionistas.

Starting with my favourite store for kurtis, FNKAsia. Not just a store, more of a diamond factory that spurts out valuable creations that cannot be found anywhere else on earth. I must say, Amir Adnan is definitely a winner where clothes are concerned. He has excelled in men's And women's wear. Rare talent that is.

What i find interesting in his casuals are the unique and daring styles. Not everyone can pull it off. Specially the daring colour combinations and ultra-modern styles. And the trendy dhaka pajamas puts the 't' in perfect.

The button patti on the first one has always held a soft soft in a special corner of my heart. Brings the funk in stylish. Combined with multi colored dhaka and a crushed dupatta. A definite winner it is.

The second one is more of a party wear, with work on the kurti and crushed pajama. Very stylish,

Some other designs i have come across on the streets. Good for a day out shopping or a friday brunch. But bolder colors would have been better. The first one is always is comfortable enough with golden button and the soldier look, without looking to serious. The second one looks way better in the colour black and a more fancier patch.

This one really caught my eye. What can I say, I'm a sucker for white. Casual, pure and beautiful. Wear it to the bazaars, or to your anniversary. Will definitely attract appreciative glances anywhere you go. An all-rounder it is.

That's it for the first day back, my fingers are tiring already with my informative resources already exhausted. Will be back with more about the lawns this season....soon.

Keep waiting, but i'll be back. Promise.
